I am pleased to recommend Reeta Prasad and Golden Moments Montessori Based Daycare. My son, Patrick, has been attending for approximately one year and I am thrilled with the loving care he has received in that time. It is obvious to My Husband and I that Reeta truly loves children and has dedicated herself to their education and well-being. As a Registered Nurse I believe in the importance of early childhood education. A tour of Reeta’s home shows that she has set up a wonderful environment for this. Her classroom contains many educational tools that the children see as toys. Patrick assures me that he loves playing with them. Many of the educational aides are designed to promote critical thinking, and fine motor skills. Because we have taken advantage of this educational opportunity, Patrick has progressed beyond expectations for a child his age in these areas. It should also be said that learning does not stop in the classroom. The children also tend plants in the garden, help to bake snacks, and are encouraged to seize any learning opportunity that might present itself throughout the day. The success Reeta has had in harnessing Patrick’s natural curiosity is evident to us in many ways as he seems to love learning and asking questions. He has also learned many songs and poems. I especially enjoy seeing what he has learned of different cultures and customs. I also greatly appreciate the effort Reeta puts in to ensuring Patrick’s physical health. At Golden Moments the children are offered a wide variety of nutritious foods and a good portion of each day is spent on outdoor activities. My Husband and I are impressed with how Reeta has kindly and patiently taught our rambunctious toddler to recognize limits and regulate his own behaviour. With Reeta’s guidance Patrick has learned to share with other children. He also demonstrates a level of empathy and respect for others that I find impressive in such a young boy. Reeta updates us on Patrick’s progress on a daily basis. We find this information to be invaluable. Our older son was cared for in a large daycare center that I considered to be of good quality but meaningful communication was rare. This lack of communication was due to the number of children in the center, and the fact that ongoing assessment did not seem to be a priority. We are grateful that Patrick is receiving such specialized attention by a dedicated professional in a small group setting. As a parent of two of Mrs. Reeta Prasad’s former students, I cannot recommend her highly enough as a care-giver. Both of my daughters attended the Joy of Learning Montessori School (our eldest for 3 years, and our youngest for 1 year, prior to its closure), where they were fortunate enough to have Mrs. Prasad as a teacher. Mrs. Prasad is a caring, giving and nurturing woman, and a natural child care provider. Mrs. Prasad is a dedicated teacher who believes passionately in the importance of the education of young children. She shows compassion and commitment to each child in her care. She provides individual programming for each child that matches their cognitive and socio-emotional developmental level.
